Rewind Time
A downloadable game for Windows
This game was made in one week for the Brackeys Jam 2020.2, with a specific theme: REWIND. Thank you for playing!
Note: The game was made in one week, therefore, there may be bugs or issues. Updates and more levels are coming in the near future!
Description:
You are one of the scientists working on time travel, and one day, you finally achieve it! You can now successfully travel back in time and create "time clones" to help you! In this game, you test the time-travel mechanism by solving different puzzles to make your way through the levels. So buckle up and put your time-travelling pants on, because it's rewind time!
Controls:
- Move right - "D" or Right Arrow Key
- Move left - "A" or Left Arrow Key
- Fly up (using jetpack) - "W" or Spacebar or Up Arrow Key
- Rewind time (go back in time) - "R"
- Restart a level - "M" or menu option on the top right corner of the level
NOTES:
- To rewind time (using "R"), you have to activate one time-recorder pressure plate.
- Rewinding time only affects the player, not the environment!
- Jetpack refills fuel only when you stand on the ground.
- Restart levels quickly using shortcut "M" if you get stuck.
This game was extremely fun to make, and I hope you have just as much fun playing it!

You’ve tagged your download as linux compatible, but there is only a .exe in your archive. It does run on wine, but does not react to user input, so it is unplayable. Please provide a linux build or remove the linux tag from your download.
I am very sorry, that was my fault. Here is a link to the Linux supported build: https://crexcrex.itch.io/rewind-time-linux-build. I haven't tested it, and I don't know if it works. But if it works, and if you enjoy the game, please feel free to leave a feedback comment and a rating on the original entry post. Thank you!
Thank you, this one worked. It was a great game, but I didn’t manage to wrap my head around level 8 :D A bit confusing when the recording starts, and the timing is hard because it plays back faster than it records – but overall a very nice mechanic and quite challenging. Nice polish, too! (Sadly I can’t rate it because I did not participate in the jam). Thanks for providing a Linux build :)
Thank you very much! :)
